Online meeting with RaRE Advisory Board

As part of the RaRE research project (Understanding Risk and Resilience in Educational Performance for Refugee Children and Youth), an online meeting was held with its Advisory Board on Tuesday, March 27, 2024. The meeting was attended by the project’s Scientific Coordinator and Research Director at EKKE, Theoni Stathopoulou, the members of the research team, and the members of the Advisory Board: Richard Mollica (Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Harvard Program in Refugee Trauma), Catherine Panter-Brick (Professor of Anthropology, Health, and International Affairs at Yale University and Director of the Conflict, Resilience, and Health Program), and Giampaolo Nikolais (Associate Professor of Developmental Psychology and Director of the School of Specialization in Clinical Psychology at Sapienza University of Rome). The meeting focused on presenting the findings of the pilot study conducted with refugee background students, their parents/caregivers, and their teachers, as well as planning the next steps regarding the processing and analysis of the empirical data.
